We are delighted to be able to announce that Professor the Lord Darzi of Denham, Parliamentary Undersecretary of State and author of the NHS Next Stage Review: Our NHS, our future, has confirmed that he will be delivering the keynote address at this important HSJ conference.

Lord Darzi’s NHS Next Stage Review, Our NHS, our future is due shortly and will set the NHS’s strategy for the next 10 years.

Implementation action plans based on commissioning will be required in the autumn.

This conference from Health Service Journal, which has been timed to coincide with the release of the final report, provides an opportunity both to better understand Lord Darzi’s vision and also to explore the challenges of practical implementation.

To help you hit the ground running, focused workgroups have been developed, which mirror the Review’s original working groups.

Use these workgroups to define the immediate, medium and long term actions needed to deliver world class care. Choose from the following:

  • Delivering quality improvement
  • Providing and commissioning enhanced primary and community care
  • Developing a long term workforce strategy to deliver Lord Darzi’s vision
  • Developing a strategy to speed and embed innovation
